Sure, Santa chuckled when Heather pranked him by putting a for sale sign in front of his house, but later he did move her name from the 'nice' list to the 'naughty' list. Cat Trees - Anyone who has cats admires the gymnastic grace with which felines jump from cat tree to cat tree... occasionally missing and clinging by their claws, making a recovery and licking a paw as if they meant to do that. Today was our first snowstorm of the year (we live just below the Arctic Circle, in northwestern Pennsylvania). Heather not only cleared the driveway, she made her first snowman... er, I mean first snowcat of the year.
What's News Pussycat? - Cats generally don't care much about the outcome of elections. They buy newspapers to read the comics and sometimes the sports. How to Carve a Turkey - First, you get a big block of wood and a chainsaw...
There's a little story behind the name of this artwork. One of Heather's nicknames is 'H' (simply the letter); that evolved into calling her 'H-bomb'; eventually we started to call her 'Bomber.' So.... this painting of Heather singing (yowling?) her favorite carol had to be called O Tannenbomber! This year, Heather's grandfather, Tank, is going to play Santa for her. If you see her, please don't tell her. She still believes in Santa. Heather believes in Santa... but if she believes he comes down the chimney (as popular myth suggests), why light a fire in the fireplace?
Nice to know that if you take a wrong turn and end up at the South Pole instead of the North Pole, you can still find someone with whom to share Christmas. Heather is a modern-day Cinderella, not the old-fashioned kind. She has a career (scrubbing the castle from top to bottom) but still manages to party all night. In fact, when she arrives all breathless and rosy-cheeked, she's the belle of the ball.
It's time to unpack your heirloom Christmas decorations, and display them... if you dare. Even the best-behaved felines (like Heather) have trouble resisting the urge to play with them. When Heather (and her mouse-friend Tiffany) go Christmas shopping, they go to Gingerbread Village. Only one problem: Heather can't fit into the shops, so Tiffany goes in as her personal shopper. A nice little symbiosis. Just as she added the final ornament to her Christmas tree, Heather noticed that the angel at the top had begun to glow. This was rather odd, as she had not put any lights up yet. It turns out that believing really is seeing.
